hot dogs + bunny puppets + ???
there's a wall in the boys' new-old-new-again room that has space for three large framed prints to hang. we already had the frames (ribba, from ikea) and one fun piece of art—a boy with bunny hand puppet poster we bought a few years back at the atlanta ice festival. i've been trying to figure out what would be fun with that—definitely two more screen print posters, but of what? and then i stumbled on the most perfect piece.
it's a hot dog. eating a hot dog. the boys found this hilarious! and the best part? i know the illustrator!! his name is alex eben meyer and i get the pleasure of working with him at least one time each month for work. hooray!
now i just need to find a third screen-printed poster for frame number three. any ideas? maybe this or this? or your better idea?
oh and for you eagle-eyed people who might be wondering if something else has changed in the boys' room, the answer is yes. two things actually. we got new beds.
i know, i know. i did love the other headboards, but they were just too much for the room. and these are really adorable and only $89 for the entire bed at ikea. plus we were able to just use the mattresses and boxsprings we had purchased for the other beds, so really not too terrible a misstep. they make the room seem more open and even though the windows are still off, somehow they don't seem so bad.
the other headboards are in a closet right now, but we plan to turn the empty room back into a guest room and use them in there. just waiting for a super cheap mattress sale!
